South Euclid Police Seeking Suspect In Chase Bank Robbery: Police

SOUTH EUCLID, OHIO — South Euclid Police are seeking public assistance in locating a man who they said robbed a Chase Bank Thursday afternoon and escaped with an undisclosed amount of money. Police said that the man entered the bank around 12:20 p.m. Thursday at the Chase branch located in the 14000 block of Cedar Road. The man told a bank employee greeting customers that he needed to make a deposit. When he approached the teller, the man told the employee to open the cash drawer, said he had a gun and instructed the teller to give him all of the money in the drawer, police said. Police said he then placed his hand in his pocket and said, "I'm serious, I'm not playing." The man then exited the bank and traveled north on Miramar Road, police said. Police describe the suspect as being Black, shorter than 6 feet tall, with possible tattoos around his eye and temple. Police say the man stuttered when he spoke and was wearing a black sweatshirt, a yellow construction vest with a mask covering his mouth and nose. Police also say the man was holding papers in his hand at the time of the robbery. No one was injured in the incident and anyone with information with information about the suspect is asked to call the South Euclid Police Department or the Cleveland Division of the FBI. A reward is being offered for information that leads to the man's arrest, police said.
