Seeking volunteer foster home for abandoned non-feral cat

Weird situation: It seems someone abandoned their pet cat inside our property while we're out of town. Not feral. Neighbors are temporarily handling feeding etc. for the next few days but they're allergic and can't do much beyond adding food etc. - hoping there's a kind-hearted cat-lover on here might be open to meeting with my allergic neighbor, pick the cat up and bring it to a safe indoor life foster situation with the chance for daily human interaction until we return? Haven't met the cat, might be willing to adopt it later when back in town if no other home can be found, but at this moment in time just need it gently removed from the home to keep it safe and to prevent damage and other issues. Once we're back we can pick it up from you and take the time to coordinate a careful adoption to a permanent loving home for it. Can reimburse for food and litter and your time, but it's an awkward gray area because we haven't met the cat and there is no bonding yet, animal control won't handle this and the shelters are not accepting cats at this time, even if we could somehow get DoorDash or Uber to pick up and deliver :) The cat is being kept warm and safe with volunteer visits to coordinate food, water, and litter, but this can't work as a long-term solution. Open to ideas or suggestions to help make life better for this little critter - thank you!
