The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the community housekeeping programs to ensure that areas of the community are maintained in a safe, clean and comfortable manner. The Housekeeping Supervisor reports to the community Executive Director with direct support from corporate National Director of Housekeeping. Housekeeping Supervisor Job Responsibilities: · Develops a schedule for the housekeeping team to ensure that resident apartments are cleaned and odor free in accordance to the Resident Handbook guidelines. · Communicate any apartment cleaning schedule changes to the residents. · Conduct daily inspections of the interior of the community. Immediately address deficiencies to ensure community is safe, clean and comfortable for residents, team members and guests. · Coordinate services and activities with other departments. · Maintain appropriate inventory levels for common area and apartment cleans in adherence to the operating budget and corporate guidelines. · Work with the Manager, Maintenance to ensure all housekeeping chemicals have proper SDS sheets in the master binder, all containers of hazardous materials are appropriately labeled, and staff is following all safety procedures. · Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers. · Train new and existing staff in community and state required policies and procedures. · Responsible for hiring, scheduling, and supervising the housekeeping team in accordance with community operating budget. Also responsible for conducting performance reviews and completing and maintaining all related employee paperwork. · Perform other duties that may be set by the corporation or specified by the Executive Director. Housekeeping Supervisor Educational Requirements: · High School diploma or equivalent Housekeeping Supervisor Work Experience: · 3 years housekeeping experience required. · At least 1 year in a supervisory or management position in housekeeping or environmental services preferred. Other Requirements: · Must be medically able and willing to wear a NIOSH-approved tight-fitting respirator (N95 mask), if required by and in accordance with federal or state regulations or Spectrum policy · The safety of our Residents and Team Members is our top priority.
