Looking to jam or start new band

I'm a 57 year old guitarist getting bored playing at home. Lately not playing much due to just playing in my jam room alone. I'm more of a rhythm player but can play some lead. I'm more into rock and metal. Whatever comes along would have to learn whatever songs to start. Use to know alot but need refreshing. Looking to get together maybe once a week and if get enough songs like to play out. Interested in covers or originals.
