Description
His name is "Flicker," and he is a gorgeous, very loving and snuggly dog that lives for his next hug from someone who loves him :) He is an excellent animal. The only reason we need to rehome him is because as my German Shepherd puppy is maturing, the dynamics between the two males are struggling. Flicker is a very gentle dog who loves people, children, and other dogs. He gets along well with our other pets (cats, parrot, goats, chickens). He has a submissive, calm, and very loving personality type. I've never met another dog that loves to snuggle as much as him! He is usually pretty laidback and chill and has never shown any aggression to anyone, new or familiar. He is special to me because I saved his life. He had been abandoned in the woods by a previous owner to starve, but he happened to stumble onto the right doorstep. With care and love we nursed him back to health and I taught him some manners and simple commands. Because he is a rescue, we don't know his exact age or breed, but our vet thinks he is between 3-4 years old and an American Foxhound mix. He is a medium-sized dog, about 55 pounds and 22 or 23 inches height at the shoulder. He is microchipped, up to date on vaccines and is on monthly Trifexis flea/tick/worm prevention. We just took him to the vet for a checkup before listing the ad to confirm he is in good health for rehoming. Deciding to rehome him has been a very difficult decision to make. I love this dog and he is a great companion, but my two furry friends are having some dynamical issues. I think Flicker will be happier in a new home in the long run, as we are beginning more advanced training with my shepherd pup that requires daily practice and takes away a lot of the time I used to be able to spend with Flicker. The shepherd and I share a deeper bond after I raised him from an 8 week old puppy doing daily training and working together every day. I feel terrible that I can only spend less and less time with Flicker, so I want him to be in an environment where someone can give him all the attention he deserves. We are asking a $200 rehoming fee just to make sure he goes to a loving home If you are interested in giving this puppy-eyed, floppy-eared boy lots of forever cuddles, call or text Jaynee at
