Assistant Landscape Manager

RPI Company, a commercial landscape maintenance company, has an immediate opening for a full-time Assistant Landscape Manager. Job Duties Include: • Supervise and mentor subordinate lawn care crews • Assist with lawn care and ensure work is completed in accordance with contract specifications • Perform quality control • Train crews on safety and proper lawn care techniques • Complete fertilizer, pesticide and herbicide applications according to contract specifications and manufacturer’s label • Manage and perform specialty landscape services including edging, mulching, landscape installation, shrub trimming, and insect and disease control of trees and shrubs • Design and bid new landscape work in accordance with company policies and procedures • Order supplies and plants for new landscape jobs • Tag plants for installation • Schedule jobs • Manage and perform equipment preventative maintenance and minor repairs • Participate in snow removal as a site leader and/or equipment operator • Enforce company policies and procedures • Ensure subordinate lawn crews are kept staffed as required Qualifications: • High School diploma, or equivalent degree • At least 5 years of landscape contracting experience with a focus on landscape maintenance • Supervisory experience • Ability to safely operate and maintain power equipment • Possess and maintain category 6 and 7 Pennsylvania Pesticide licenses/certification • Class B CDL (preferred) • CLT or LICT designation (preferred) Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time • Frequent bending & reaching • Ability to lift at least 35 pounds several times per day • Working on a ladder at heights ranging from 2’ to 15’ • Work in bucket of aerial lift truck at heights exceeding 10’ Generous benefits package & compensation includes health insurance, short term & long-term disability, life insurance, paid vacation & holidays, 401k, company vehicle, and bonuses.
