Safe, efficient, and accurate assistance to yard and inventory management and movement of high-quality oil country tubular goods (OCTG). Fills in and completes various assignments and responsibilities as delegated by supervisor. Primarily performs manual applications. Serves as the frontline agent assisting in the handling, storage, tracking, and releasing of OCTG. Performs the critical task of efficiently directing trucks in the queue for loading and unloading while communicating with drivers in a professional manner about the process. Handling and General Yard Operations a. General: Provide flexible assistance for the yard operations and in the movement of pipe and tubing OCTG. ● Use light duty hand tools of various weight and size as instructed. ● Perform the application of pipe thread protective products in accordance with procedure. ● Perform the manual application of pipe couplings of varying weight and size in accordance with procedure. ● Perform the manual application of pipe protectors in accordance with procedures. ● Read and understand measuring devices including but not limited to a measuring tape calibrated in 1/32". ● Perform cleaning tasks to include but not limited to sweeping, mopping and the removal of trash and material debris within work area and throughout facility on a daily basis. ● Assist in pipe segregation. ● Assist with documentation including tallies / verification of heat lots, pipe descriptions, quality of pipe and gauges.
