CLEVELAND — Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kevin Porter Jr. was taken into custody on Sunday morning, the Ohio State Highway Patrol announced
The Patrol was called to a single car crash near I-76 at 2 a.m. Porter was not hurt in the crash and was not impaired while driving. However, a loaded gun and a small amount of marijuana was found inside Porter's vehicle, Fox 8 reported.
The Cleveland Cavaliers organization issued a statement on Porter's arrest on Sunday, saying, "We are aware of the situation involving Kevin Porter Jr. and are in the process of gathering information. We have spoken with Kevin and will continue to address this privately with him as the related process evolves."
Porter's bond was set at $4,000 and he has been released, Cleveland 19 reported.
