CLEVELAND, OH – Another player on the Cleveland Browns has tested positive for COVID-19, forcing the team to close its practice facility in Berea.
The team made the announcement Thursday morning and said meetings will be conducted remotely while contact tracing is being conducted in order to identify high-risk close contacts.
"The team will continue to consult with the league and medical experts on the appropriate next steps as the health and safety of our players, coaches, staff and the entire community remains our highest priority," the team said in the statement.
Later on Thursday, the team announced it placed Defensive End Porter Gustin on the reserve/COVID-19 list, which was created for a player who either tests positive for COVID-19 or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person.
This is the second day in a row the team announced a player was positive.
