Growing dog day school needs several more P/T assistants. This is a program for dogs 8wks-2yrs. We provide training by a professional positive reinforcement trainer, carefully monitored play, and crate rest. This is especially a great opportunity for someone who loves dogs and is considering becoming a professional dog trainer, or someone interested in going in to any animal related field. We welcome all dogs regardless of breed and all people regardless of race, religion, age, nationality, gender identity, or sexual orientation. You MUST be fully vaccinated against Covid19, including a booster shot. You will be required to show proof of vaccination. We have several immuno-compromised individuals on staff as well as in our clientele and do everything possible to keep everyone safe. Duties include monitoring play, taking dogs out for potty breaks, cleaning with a nontoxic antimicrobial solution. This is a salaried position, $10/hr for 2 weeks of training, then $12/hr. We are working on bringing the hourly rate up to a living wage of $15/hr. Benefits include a free dog training class, and a weekly employee run training hour coordinated by one of our professional trainers to give everyone the opportunity to enhance their dog training skills. There is also the possibility of advancement as the owner is a mentor for CATCH Dog Trainer Academy. Along with the day school, we have regularly scheduled classes and offer private sessions for behavior issues. There is a future need for more class instructors. Hours are presently mostly during afternoon shifts M-F 2:00-6:00/6:30.
