Description

I'm not sure why our ad keeps getting flagged? We are a real family, looking for a new family for our wonderful dog. This beautiful, big, boy was originally our parents/in-laws. When one of them suffered some health issues, they became no longer able to care for him. We've had him for a few weeks, hoping to keep him in the family, but sadly he is just not a good fit with our 4 yo. Basics: Male Poodle/Bernese Mnt Dog (aka Bernadoodle), this is an expensive designer breed Not neutered (yet) 6 months old UTD on all vaccines, and has been on heartguard and nexgard every month. Big, last weighed in at 70# a couple of weeks ago, still growing Hypoallergenic and low/no shed Housebroken He just does not have a sense of my 4yo's smallness and also feels very competitive with her. I feel like he would be fine with older/bigger children. He is a total love bug. He has not been mean, or aggressive AT ALL, but a little jealous and pushy and he has started knocking her down apparently on purpose. He is currently eating very expensive, high quality food. The in-laws said they had trouble with other types upsetting his stomach. He is not crate trained. That's the bad. He is a LOVER. He wants affection whenever you want to give it. He knows sit, and will sit nicely to wait for his breakfast and supper until we say "EAT" and gesture to his dish. He walks basically nicely on the leash. Not a major puller, but he is very strong. He is TOTALLY HOUSEBROKEN. He has never had an accident in the house. The in-laws say he only had one his first week at home. He is TRULY housebroken. He doesn't chew shoes or clothes. He loves to swim, play fetch. I think he will make a good jogging companion when his joints are fully developed. He is a low/no shed breed mix. So far we've only seen him shed when he was stressed. He doesn't bark very much. So far we've only had him bark when someone new approaches the house or if he's excited and wants to get out to do/see us etc. He is super smart (also very goofy), and will take to training very well. We've had a lot of tough transition in our family during his life, so his training has been neglected besides the basics, but I think he'll be very easy to train. Very food motivated, very eager to please, and Very Smart! He will come with whatever is left of his food. His medical records. His microchip information. We are asking a small rehoming fee. It is simply to make sure that whoever brings him home is serious, and has the money to maintain a big, princely boy like this. We will be taking our time to find a good life for him. We won't Require a fenced in yard, but if not, a good lifestyle with plenty of outside time and people to spend time with him a lot. Ideal house would be one where someone is home most of the time, with no small children. Serious inquiries only please. We will meet first at a park where he can get familiar with you. We can provide more pics, video or info on request. Thanks for your time!
