CLEVELAND — Starting Monday, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History will launch a digital classroom series called CMNH@HOME. The series will provide the community with stories of nature, science and health. "As difficult as the last few weeks have been for all of us, it is clear that our mission is more important than ever: To inspire, through science and education, a passion for nature, the protection of natural diversity, the fostering of health, and leadership to a sustainable future," said Cleveland Museum of Natural History President and CEO Sonia Winner. The series will be released through the museum's website in an episodic fashion. Episodes will debut three times per week at 12 p.m. Each episode will focus on these key areas: Museum Mondays: Virtual science classes for school-age children, taught by museum educators in the museum's galleries and collection areas.Wildlife Wednesdays: Video profiles of the native Ohio animal species that reside at the museum and its Ralph Perkins II Wildlife Center & Woods Garden—Presented by KeyBank, as well as inside looks at the museum's animal care, training, and enrichment programs.Scientist Saturdays: A rotation of recorded scientific lectures, research findings, and collection spotlights.Some episodes will feature post-episode chats with museum scientists and educators.
