I-271 Construction Will Close Exit Ramp On Monday

GARFIELD HEIGHTS, OH — Construction on I-271 north will close the ramp from the highway onto Rockside Road for parts of Monday and Tuesday. The closure could impact commuters heading into or out of Cleveland. The closure will start Monday, Feb. 17, at 8 p.m. and continue through Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 6 p.m. Crews will be doing work on the roadway necessitating the closure. A detour will be set up to help drivers. Commuters should take I-271 north to Miles Road west to State Route 8 (Northfield Road) south to Rockside Road. After the I-271 north ramp closure, the Rockside Road ramp to I-271 south will be closed. The closure will start at 8 p.m. on Tuesday and continue until 6 p.m. on Wednesday. The detour will take drivers down Rockside Road west to SR 8 north to Mueti Drive south.
