A two-day Battle and Living History Civil War Reenactment Event, taking place on the grounds of a real Civil War era stone fort.
This two-day Battle and Living History Event will be taking place on the grounds of a real Civil War era stone fort - very similar to the style of many Carolinian Forts. On the first day of battle we will be portraying the Battle of Fort Macon in North Carolina, while on Sunday we will be portraying the Storming of Battery Wagner - our very own 54th Mass Co. A and their brothers from Washington in Co. B will help us to authentically portray the action.
The Liberty Greys and The New England Brigade will be our two main forces. Both sides will set up their encampments on Friday night, as usual. The event will begin in earnest on Saturday and wrap up on Sunday around 3PM. The two days will be packed with two battles, visits from President Lincoln + Frederick Douglass and performances by two Civil War era Stringbands, including the minstrel band the “Camptown Shakers,” and the popular “Susquehanna Travelers!”
Artillery, Cavalry, and infantry will be present - in addition to the U.S Signal Corps and USNLP.
This will not be an event to miss. It will be one for the books.
