Description

Join CTC RIMS as we learn about airborne infection risks and solutions. Airborne infection risks within schools, hospitals, office buildings, government buildings, and other commercial facilities have existed long before COVID-19, but the current pandemic has magnified the risk. Thousands of new facilities were built with advanced systems to manage energy consumption and the occupant’s comfort, but not necessarily designed and maintained with established standards that prevent airborne infection. Corey Kilpack will discuss the indoor airborne infection challenges, the potential cost of not addressing these challenges, and what organizations can do to identify and remediate potential indoor airborne infection risk. Free for Central Texas Chapter RIMS Members $10 Young Risk Professionals of Central Texas $20 Non-Members About the Speaker: Corey Kilpack is one of the co-founders of Life Balance Technologies, which is based in Austin. Before Life Balance, he founded Kilpack Partners LLC, which provides airborne infection control services for hospitals and other public buildings in Northern California. Using his analytical and auditing expertise, Corey developed a proprietary system which has become the basis of Life Balance Technologies software. Prior to forming Kilpack Partners, Corey worked on Wall Street as an investment banker, an equity and fixed income research analyst and eventually as an investment manager in the energy sector. Corey was recognized by the Wall Street Journal as one of the top research analysts and was a ranked All Star Analyst in 2000. He earned a BSM in Accounting at Tulane University.
