DANVILLE, CA — Danville voters are deciding which three of nine candidates should serve the Danville Town Council. Incumbents Newell Arnerich and Renee Morgan will face off against the following candidates: Mohamed Elsherbini, business owner; Dave Fong, Senior AdvisoryCommissioner and pharmacist; Nasser Mirzai, technology entrepreneur; PJ Shelton, educator and business executive; Turner F. Stanton, businessperson; Allen Timmons, business owner; and Kevin R. Traylor, retired insurance professional. There are more than 700,000 registered voters in Contra Costa County, including some 370,000 Democrats, 135,000 Republicans and 197,000 voters who do not identify with either of the country's main political parties.
