Beautiful restorative sounds of unique instruments and voice guide us into relaxation and awareness of expanded consciousness and peace. A restorative time for you, immersed in transformative sound. You may be seated or lie down to enter into deeper relaxation in the guided, transcendent soundscape. Our sanctuary of sound has been a place of healing, peace and unity over the past eight years for many people. No two events are the same. Instruments and methods used vary from one event to the next. Sometimes just a few are needed and other times we are guided to use many, including the voice. We listen to the needs that are present in the sacred space we have created together. No formulas, protocols or cookie-cutter sequences. Where two or more are gathered, therein dwells the holy consciousness of Spirit, the Christ, the Love. Please arrive a few minutes ahead of start time to settle in as we do start on time at 6:30, Door is open from 6:00 to 6:25pm. No one is able to be admitted after that. Use the wooden door on the left front of the building, and not the large glass ones. We will make a decision between 2:00-3:00 pm the day of the sound immersion. You may use your ticket for the March event if this event is cancelled for any reason. Bring a yoga mat and blanket and whatever you need to be fully comfortable during your inward journey. Some chairs are available for those who prefer or need to remain seated. Some people like to use an eye covering. Due to flu season, we are limiting attendance and taking other precautions, but all are welcome. Lana Ryder has been sharing the healing power of sound, voice and music for forty-five years. These events fill quickly. Participants benefit from the presenter having studied with some of the best sound therapy teachers in the field and her experience of having directly seen the beneficial effects of sound therapy with hundreds of clients in private practice over the past twenty years as well as in group sound meditations in recent years. She created ReikiSound™️, ReikiVoice™️, and Soundwise Voice curriculum, introducing massage, energy, holistic and healthcare practitioners to the fundamentals of sound, voice and music as therapy. "Sound Therapy: An Introduction to the Fundamentals, Beginning to Use Sound, Voice and Music in the Healing Arts" is now a 40 hour introductory course. It may be taken as one day a month in class for five months or on a mutually convenient schedule for student and instructor. Lana is a licensed massage, energy and sound therapist, certified holistic health coach, holistic practices educator, reiki master-teacher, professional vocalist and past board member of the International Society for Quantitative Research in Music and Medicine. She is a former worship music director, instructor at two area massage schools and previous Clinical Coordinator of Massage and Body Therapies at WellSpan Health.
