Construction Field Technician/Inspector

CDS Engineering Corporation is a local firm providing geotechnical and structural engineering. We are looking for a full time Construction Field Technician. Applicants will travel to various local construction sites in Northern Colorado performing construction testing and observations. The job entails a self-motivated person who can function successfully with minimal supervision. Applicant will interact with various contractors and clients as needed. Prefer an experienced technician but will train the right candidate. A work truck will be provided. Responsibilities: - Test compaction and moisture of the soil placement utilizing a Radioactive Nuclear Device. - Test concrete slump and air content. - Various inspections, including rebar placement, footing sizes, house drains and other construction related inspections. - Work in geotechnical lab performing soils tests. - Help on soils drilling rig logging samples. - Ensure that the testing specifications are met on each project. - Maintain the proper and accurate paperwork as the projects entail. - Must be able to lift approximately 50 pounds. Minimum Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Clean driving record. - Successful communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Nuclear gauge operator license - DOT Hazmat Training certificate - ACI Level 1 concrete certificate Salary will be based on experience and education.
