Press release from the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County: July 30, 2020 Written by Kelly Sheehy, Content Specialist, Downtown Main Library Sometimes kids ask questions that are hard to answer. And it's best to answer their questions with words they understand. That's why our Library staff teamed up to put together a new Storytime at Home series, Important Conversations. This video series is hosted on our YouTube channel featuring storytimes with beloved Library staff that tackle a variety of subjects like conflict, racism, death, feeling sad, and more. Through carefully selected books, empathetic songs, and even the use of a puppet or two, we're helping parents and caregivers make these topics understandable for young minds. We've also curated some resources to continue the conversation once the storytime is over. We'll be adding new Important Conversation videos frequently, so be sure to check back. Here are a few our Librarians have created so far just for you and your family.
