First, today's weather: A shower; breezy in the p.m. High: 70 Low: 62. Here are the top three stories in Mobile today: Early Sunday morning, the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department was dispatched to the Berkshire Apartments for reports of a fire. Upon their arrival, fire personnel described a two-story apartment structure with flames visible on the second floor and heavy smoke throughout the area. The fire destroyed at least two units and the crews had to return to fight a flare-up on the roof. This incident is still being investigated. (WKRG News 5) One year and one day since the two horrific fire-related deaths in Happy Hill, three people now face charges, and the search is on for a fourth person. One of them, convicted drug kingpin Darrin Southall, is now accused of ordering the hit on the victims, Tony and Leila Lewis. Terrance Watkins, Jamarcus Chambers, and a fourth man, who has not been arrested yet, are all charged with murder. As the investigation unfolded, there was talk of "beef" between the victim's grandson, rapper Honeykomb Brazy and Southall. (FOX10 News) The University Of Mobile has announced the addition of an Associate Degree in Nursing program to help reduce nursing shortages. The two-year Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program will begin in August 2022, pending final approval by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. Students in the ADN program will gain hands-on experience in UM's Center for Excellence in Healthcare Practice.
