High Paying Caregiver/Nanny Needed

We are seeking a high-quality, compassionate caregiver/nanny to join our team for an amazing young child who is medically fragile. Our child is a 7-year-old boy, who attends virtual school. He has a wonderful sense of humor, is sweet and smart. He has a tracheotomy, feeding tube, infrequent seizures, and uses assistive devices for ambulation and communication. He is non-verbal, cognitively age appropriate, is socially alert and thrives best from engaged activity-based care. Position description: You will provide one-on-one care for our child’s daily needs. He requires frequent tracheotomy care, g-tube feeding, positioning, transfers, and someone to pay close attention to any other needs that may arise. Your position will take place in his home and will involve coordinating with the family and the rest of the caregiving team daily. Light housework related to his care will be required. Training may be provided for any skills that are new or unknown to you. Position requirements: • Experience working with children preferred • Mental, emotional, and physical stamina • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds • Be prepared to demonstrate that you are safe, smart, alert, and engaged in our child’s well being • Must be comfortable with cats and occasional dogs in the home Hours available: Sundays 7a-5p and fill in as needed. Willing to discuss opportunities for additional hours Pay: $20-$55 per hour based on experience Covid- 19: We are taking covid-19 seriously and are looking for a caregiver who is following the governor’s mandates per Multnomah County (where family lives). You must be comfortable wearing a n95 or kn95 throughout your shift, have received the covid vaccine (booster if eligible) and are willing to get tested for covid upon hire. Masks and testing provided by family. Starting date: Training for position can begin right away. We are looking for the right match to complete this exceptional child’s caregiving team.
