Press release from the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office: August 27, 2020 Today, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters thanked the Hamilton County citizens who recently served as jurors in the Hamilton County Municipal Court and the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas. One case was in front of Hamilton County Municipal Court Judge Curt Kissinger and the other case was in front of Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas Judge Jody Luebbers. Prosecutor Deters commented, "I want to thank the citizens of Hamilton County who recently served as jurors in two criminal cases. Without this participation, our justice system would not function. We always appreciate this service but want to especially thank jurors who are willing to come to court during COVID. The Hamilton County Court has taken many steps to ensure everyone's health and safety, including temperature checks, Plexiglas dividers, social distancing and masks, but we still understand that this is a big ask. The two assistants who tried these cases told me that the jurors took their service seriously and did not let concerns about COVID interfere with this important duty. Again, I extend my thanks and appreciation to these jurors for their service." This press release was produced by the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office.
