ISO potential service dog.,,

Description

I am a below-knee amputee with other co-occurring health issues (including diabetes and seizures). I have applied to many of the national programs that provide service animals, but have bee told that their primary focus right now is providing service animals for disabled veterans, which I respect. Bottom line, it would likely be several years before I could get a service animal through one of these programs. So.... I am ISO a young, intelligent, medium to large breed dog that I could train or more likely have trained as a service dog. Because I am on disability and will have to take on the expense of training the dog as a service animal, I do not have a lot to spend on the dog up front, but I am a responsible pet owner who will make sure the dog gets routine medical care, good food, and a loving home. In the distant past, I raised Australian Shepherds and participated with them in agility competitions. I have also raised Rottweilers, schnauzers, cocker spaniels, Shih Tzus, and a three-legged Yorkie. I am not necessarily looking for a pure bred, I only listed these to show that I have experience with a variety of breeds. What I need is an intelligent doggo who can get along with people, other dogs and cats. If you think you have a doggo that might work for me, whose rehoming fee is not astronomically high, please let me know. Thanks!
