bass clarinet or flute needed for avant-garde chamber ensemble

We are Katie & Rachel: Josh Ronsen (me) (Bb clarinet, accordion), Brent Fariss (doublebass), Kirk Laktas (keyboards) and Vanessa Gelvin (field recordings), seeking to replace our regular bass clarinetist who is irreplaceable but busy. Bass clarinet or flute would fit in best with our sound. We mainly play original material, workshopped from text scores. All of us are associated with the Austin New Music Co-op, 3 of us are founding members from 2001, so we have a strong focus on the expanding limits of sound, composition and performance. We are influenced by Cage, Scelsi, Ligeti, etc. We love sound and playing. We are open to all races, classes, genders, creeds, nationalities. Ability to listen and be creative is more important than experience. The ideal person would grow as we and the group grows. We are all vaccinated and boosted, and are careful in that regard. Maybe this isn't the right time for us to meet in person, but after doing outside rehearsals in 2021, we are ready to move back indoors with each other.
