Description
Bass player needed to join a classic rock band to jam for fun, but to also play at several outdoor annual events this summer. We are not interested in playing out at clubs, etc. We get together twice a month to work on putting together 3 sets to be able to play these events. Of course we do it mainly to crank out some loud rock and to have fun to balance out our lives. We have 2 guitar players and a drummer right now. I can sing half the songs, but some of them are out of my range, for instance, AC/DC, so if you can sing in that range that would be great. We are big AC/DC fans and 5 of our songs are AC/DC. Ideally we would like to have a lead singer, but we can get by with myself and another that can cover those other songs. We have about 20 songs down pretty good right now and are shooting to perfect around 35 to have 3 full sets. It's a mixture of classic rock like Black Sabbath (Paranoid), Judas Priest (Breakin the Law), Tom Petty (You Wreck Me, Runnin Down a Dream), Cream (White Room), i.e. songs, Cumbersome, Greenday's Brain Stew/Jaded, Rocky Mountain Way by Joe Walsh, etc. It's quite a mix of rock songs and we are open to playing any good classic rock that someone can sing and we are able to play well. We have a jam room here in Dover, NH with all the equipment and PA. As far as personal info, me and the guitar player are lifelong friends and have played in several bands over the years. We are nearly 60, but rock out loudly! We both work full time and practice on our own until we get together. The drummer is new but an old friend of the guitarist and has lots of experience playing in bands. If this sounds like something that would work for you, give me a shout.
