Description
This is Mateo and he is VERY lucky to be alive right now. Fate spared him. His journey began over 900 miles away in Texas. He was impounded as a stray in the heart of Texas and found himself in an overcrowded, high-kill shelter. Due to an overwhelming number of unwanted animals and very limited resources, Mateo was scheduled to be euthanized. Luckily for him, Paws n Claws of Iowa made the trip to Texas and brought a truckload of 20 dogs back to Iowa who otherwise would have been killed THAT day. Mateo is such an awesome puppy! He loves everyone and just wants to please you. He’s playful but also loves to cuddle up on the couch next to you. He working hard on potty training and knows how to sit. He’s highly food motivated and will be easy to train. He gets asking with dogs of all sizes and loves kids. This is the type of dog that will be your shadow and your ride or die. He will make a great addition to about any family!!
EDIT: I forgot to mention something important. He is already completely kennel trained! He can go 8 hours in his kennel without having an accident. And he sleeps all night in his kennel without barking or whining 🙌🏻 if you’ve had a puppy recently, you know that night time with a new pup is stressful and is like having a newborn baby. That’s something you don’t have to worry about with him!
I am only fostering this puppy and I do not have any say in who gets to adopt him or who is approved. He is up for adoption through Paws n Claws of Iowa. Applicant’s current pets must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations to be approved. Vet reference required.
