Alternative/Indie/Punk Band Looking For Lead Guitarist

Meets

Whitewater WI

Description

We're a three piece band currently in search of a lead guitarist. We have a drummer, a bassist, and rhythm guitar/vocalist. We practice twice a week in Whitewater around 4pm. We regularly write and play mostly original music, and are looking to build up to record a proper LP when we're ready as we already have a decent setlist of songs. Our previous lead guitarist realized that his life won't allow for multiple days a week of practice as well as performing but we're still very close and split on great terms. We're looking for someone who wants to try to write the best music we can together and have fun doing it while building up to regular performances. I don't mind giving help or direction on guitar parts but we generally are looking for someone who can write their own melodies and contribute musically while feeling comfortable to do so. To describe us a bit, we're in our mid twenties but aren't too bothered about age difference if we get along well. We're pretty chill and accepting people, all very kind and like to joke around and jam occasionally just to loosen up and hang out. We have a lot of originals, we're currently trimming about 50 songs into a more realistic two hours of music to focus on the stronger tracks but we're very comfortable starting small and building over time. Probably would be sending between 5 and 7 tracks if you're interested in coming out and we can start there. In terms of influences, there's a bit of a range. Midwest emo, 90s alternative, folk, and modern punk are large influences on us as well as a lot of indie and some classic rock as well. A list of bands that influence us somewhat or we think the lead guitar speaks well to us through is below: Tigers Jaw, Pinegrove, The Menzingers, Stone Temple Pilots, The Wonder years, Modern Baseball, The Get Up Kids, Led Zeppelin, Bayside, Microwave, Beck, Sorority Noise, Third Eye Blind, The Front Bottoms, Prince Daddy, and The Weakerthans. Sorry for the long post, I just figured more information is always better than less and we're looking for serious replies who could be interested in regular long term playing if there's musical chemistry and we get along well. We still have a long way to go, and I've attached some examples of what we sound like with varying levels of recording quality. We're also interested if you like writing as well or can sing dual or backup vocals. Even interested if you write enough and want to take primary singing in tracks you present. We're very open and kind people by my estimation and just looking for a like minded guitarist to take a swing with us.
