Description

Steve Grover Memorial Concert - Featuring a “Friends Of Jazz” Reunion Tony Gaboury - Guitar, Tim Sessions - Trombone, Tom Bucci - Bass, R.J. Miller - Drums, Brad Terry - Clarinet Steve Grover was, arguably, the single most influential Jazz musician in the history of jazz music in Maine. Mr. Grover was an award winning drummer/composer, longtime director of the Maine Jazz Camp, educator, and mentor to a full generation of aspiring Maine jazz musicians. Over the years, Steve played and recorded with an impressive roster of regular collaborators. However, ultimately it is Steve’s students continual commitment to the art of jazz that will stand out as the most enduring example of his still evolving legacy. PCM is proud to present a concert of music celebrating Mr. Grover’s compositional brilliance and his many contributions to the cultural landscape of the state he loved. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Doors open at 7:30 pm | Show starts at 8:00 pm.
