Join the Society for Conservation Biology D.C. and the Arlington Master Naturalists to remove invasive plant from Fort Bennett Park! Join the Society for Conservation Biology - D.C. Chapter and the Arlington Master Naturalists to remove invasive plants from Fort Bennett Park! We will be targeting ground ivy and bush honeysuckle to open habitat for native flowers, plants, and wildlife. All materials (gloves, tools, bags) provided, but bring your own gloves if you prefer. Please bring a mask. This is a COVID-safe outdoor event, rain or shine. Dress in layers, long pants and sleeves, and wear close-toed shoes. Transportation options: Metro - closest stop is Rosslyn (Blue, Orange, Silver lines) Biking - Capital Bikeshare station at 21st St & N Pierce St half a mile from the park entrance; bike racks at Dawson Terrace Park right near entrance to Fort Bennett Park Bus - there are several ART stops in the neighborhood near the park Driving - street parking; limited parking in lot at Dawson Terrace Park right near entrance to Fort Bennett Park
