Female Singer/"Mando-ist"?

Meets

Carrboro NC

Description

Howdy. Longtime male lead/harmony singer/guitarist (and a little piano) seeks collaborator for duo that would work on my huge song list that crosses many genres, from folk to R&B, pre-'90s rock, Americana, bluegrass, reggae, Appalachian, old-time, mountain, soul and older country. Why female? Because I love the sound (à la Gillian & David, Allison & Robert, etc.) of my voice harmonizing with a female voice. Why mando? I want to create the sound of my 6-string and 12-string playing with a different acoustic instrument other than a banjo. I love fiddle, but a fiddler would have to take a good amount of time off from singing -- ixnay re: that. So...that's how I narrowed down my search. I'd like to practice at least once a wk. and work towards getting gigs around the Triangle. As a soloist over the past few yrs.. I've had good success doing that. I've been playing music a long time, and have really enjoyed getting back to spending a goodly amount of time on it as I've glidepathed out of a career in environmentsl law in recent years. Thx for reading, stay safe and, as the cliché goes, rock on.
