Known as a gifted guitarist and band leader, Carl has spent more than 40 years as a professional musician. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio his first band (Abraxas) received a recording contract when he was 19 years old and became a regional success. His progressive rock band, Syzygy, attained international acclaim by charting in Germany and building a solid base in the U.S. Syzygy has received critical acclaim and professional praise for 30 years. Carl’s new band, eponymously named BALDASSARRE, can be heard on his upcoming release, Collinwood Yards. The album is an amalgam of Carl’s classical music and rock music. The 14-track musical journey was recorded at both Abbey Road Studios and Sweetwater Studios in the United States. Baldassarre will be touring North America in January/February of 2022. Considered a polystylist, Carl is a composer-songwriter comfortable in any genre or medium. Though expanded in size when moved to it’s current location in 2003, the club maintains the intimacy and raw character it has always been known for.
