Rides and Reggae is back in New Castle with a little bluegrass on August 5-6, 2022. The New Castle Rides and Reggae And A Little Bluegrass Festival is a celebration of trail running, mountain biking, music and community. Rides and Reggae includes a weekend full of fun including live music from local and national reggae influenced bands, a little bluegrass, MTB and trail running races for all ability levels on the Colorow and Highlands Trail Networks and a beer garden. Not into MTB racing or trail running no problem. Just ride your bike up to VIX Ranch Park and link up with other like minded people for a group ride. Not into mountain biking at all, that's ok too. Head to VIX Ranch Park and toss a blanket on the ground and take in the beautiful views from Castle Valley Ranch while listening to amazing live music. Kids 12 and under FREE FESTIVAL SCHEDULE: Friday August 5 5pm-8pm Live music lineup to be announced soon. VIX Ranch Park New Castle Saturday August 6 7am-10pm NEW CASTLE DIRTY DOZEN TRAIL RUNNING RACE PRESENTED BY VALLEYORTHO -7 am start from VIX Ranch Park. 10k course with approximately 1,100 feet of climbing. NEW CASTLE DIRTY DOZEN MTB RACE PRESENTED BY VALLEYORTHO -9 am start from VIX Ranch Park. 20 miles course with approximately 3,800 feet of climbing. Established in 2015 as a committee of the Roaring Fork Mountain Bike Association, New Castle Trails' mission is to be both a resource and advocate for the planning, development, enjoyment and long term care of sustainable trails, all the while creating a culture of community involvment and outdoor stewardship in New Castle
