The non-profit organization is asking for online donations to help women with cancer get treatment CANTON, Ohio, November 20, 2020 – Aunt Susie’s Cancer Wellness Center for Women (Aunt Susie’s) made the decision to change its annual fundraiser from “Pasta for a Purpose” to an online event called, “Cash for a Cause.” While the world has been battling Covid-19, the non-profit organization has been seeking help for those women battling cancer. The online event is now to the end of the year. “It’s a difficult time for many,” Marlene Mason, founder and executive director for Aunt Susie’s, said. “This is a big fundraiser for us, and we have relied on it every year. And while we are facing a pandemic, we are still looking to provide support for those women with cancer. We must keep focused.” With the community’s support, the organization has been able to provide free services for 208 plus clients. This includes transportation, house cleaning, meal delivery and more. They are continuing to receive support. But, with the current changes, they are hoping the high level of support continues throughout 2021. “We need to continue providing free support services to the families in Stark County who are dealing with cancer. Any donation would be greatly appreciated,” Mason said. To make an online donation in support of “Cash for a Cause,” visit the organization’s website at www.auntsusies.org/donate-now.html.
