We will learn about Kava and how to prepare the brew before being guided through a healing ceremony. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Wildlife Conservation Society Papau New Guineau to conserve the uniquely diverse nature of the pacific islands. (That's where kava grows wild!) Get ready to clap and bask in euphoria! About The Hosts: Tyler has always been passionate about challenging the status quo of mainstream culture, especially when it relates to health. His college career in psychology, anthropology, and biological sciences created a unique bridge between ancient wisdom teachings and western holistic health movements. He has studied herbalism with some of the greats such as Matthew Wood, Susun Weed, Sajah Popham, and many “folk” ethnobotanists around the world. Tyler has been working as an herbalist and ceremonialist for over 10 years. He is an initiate and carrier of two lineages of shamanic arts: one rooted in Peruvian Shamanism and another in Celtic Druidry. Jen has dedicated her life to the societal shift of our systems away from destructive consumption patterns and towards regenerative practices rooted in compassion for all beings. She has been a climate justice activist, a sustainable business development specialist, a community manager, and a yoga teacher. Jen seeks to transmute stuck or stagnant energies through the cultivation of community spaces and curation of events that run on organic, fair-trade inputs, and cause a subtle yet deepening awareness of the magic inherent within our own selves and within nature. She founded Jaya Kava in 2018 and is now the co-owner of Lightbox Cafe.
