We’re inviting couples to come learn about BDP’s catering services, taste our delicious food, meet our team, and hear about some of Chicago’s best wedding vendors, such as venues, planners, photographers, florists, rental companies, DJs and musicians. When you arrive, you’ll enjoy specialty cocktails and the best of our hors d'oeuvres, entrées, and desserts. Our indoor space will be expertly styled by our Wedding Production team featuring items from some of our favorite vendors, including rental companies and florists to inspire you for your big day! We cater at venues all across Chicago, each a unique space ready to fit the style of your day. We also have our own Urban Farm and indoor space, both of which are perfect for intimate weddings and elopements for less than 50 guests. BDP values the uniqueness of each couple. Regardless of how you identify, we want to support you on this special day. We've capped the capacity of this event in order to safely have people gathered indoors. Tickets are non-refundable. All guests are expected to follow BDP, local & state COVID guidelines. BDP continues to follow guidance from the CDC and local, state, and federal governments for preventing the spread of COVID-19. Effective August 20, 2021, the State of Illinois requires masks in all indoor public settings for everyone 2 years of age and older, regardless of vaccination status when not eating or drinking. We require our staff to be vaccinated and to wear face masks when working events. Effective January 3, 2022, the City of Chicago requires any individual age 5 and older to show proof of vaccination to dine indoors. We will be checking for valid proof of vaccination at the door upon arrival. Big Delicious Planet Catering, Canteen & Urban Farm is located in West Town's industrial corridor. For more than two decades, Big Delicious Planet has been catering to the most distinguished clients and discriminating palates: rock stars, celebrities, chefs, actors, Barack Obama, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and lots of other cool folks. BDP is owned and operated by Heidi Moorman Coudal and is comprised of the catering company, a cafe, called the Canteen, and the urban farm. BDP caters loads of weddings, corporate meals and events, private events, etc. The Canteen is a hidden gem in the warehouse district and has been a favorite breakfast and lunch spot for the creative entrepreneurs working in the area for many years. BDP's urban farm contains 50 raised beds and vertical planters of more than 80 varieties of organic vegetables, herbs and flowers. BDP was the first caterer in the country to earn 4 Star Green Certified Restaurant status, and has held the title of “Greenest Caterer in America” since 2013.
