Tonight at Target Eastside there was a mom in target with two boys. The youngest one wasn’t listening and I could tell this mom was at her breaking point. The mom of the two boys began crying in the isle while the boy sat on the floor. Another mom and I offered if we could help in any way. I tried to offer some moral support while her older son went to get a cart to put the youngest one in. If this somehow reaches the mom in distress, I just know you mentioned you are a single mom and don’t have the option to leave your kids at home to go to the store. I have been kicking myself all night that I didn’t offer my phone number. My son is also 6 and I’d be more than happy to set up a play date for our boys and maybe just offer you up some friendship and shoulder to lean on. And maybe eventually your son could come hang out with mine and you could get a couple hours to yourself if you would ever need. Just know that moms need a good support system and I’m not sure if you have that or not. Hope the rest of your night went okay, and just know that moments of panic or distress don’t define you.
