Luncheon Meeting
To all members of the John Hoyle Chapter, NSDAR:
Ladies, please join us for our next meeting on Wednesday, March 2 nd at the Lake Hickory
Country Club in the Elisha Brown Room. (This meeting promises to be really entertaining as you
will see from the planned program so you don’t want to miss it.)
*Social time starts at 11:30. We ask that members be seated by 12:00 when the door is closed
and refrain from talking during the business portion of our meeting. The main meal is meatloaf
with mashed potatoes, or the chef’s choice vegetarian or gluten free. The dessert from the 1922
DAR cookbook will be oatmeal cookies. The cost of the meal is $16 and members who reserve
a meal but do not attend will be charged.
To continue celebrating our 100th anniversary as a chapter, members are encouraged to bring
any items from their personal collection that are of the 1920s time period for show and tell.
RSVPs are due by 6:00 p.m. Thursday February 24 th using either the Eventbrite link below or
the Telephone Communications Committee.
Continuing our yearlong celebration of the 100th anniversary and the heritage of our chapter, for
this month’s program John Hoyle member Tammy Wilson will present a program about the
ways our founding members had fun in the 1920’s. In addition, the winners of the Chapter
essay contest, Good Citizen, and Civil Air Patrol awards will be announced.
Important business to be conducted is the election of officers for the new term starting in June.
The next group of coupons for active military families will go out the end of March. Coupons
with expiration dates no older than January 31, 2022 are good.
