It's a bookish picnic! Celebrate the launch of Mayra & Marie's new book with guests NYT bestselling authors Kimberly Jones & Gilly Segal About this event Bring your family, friends, or book club squad for a picnic and conversation! We will be celebrating the release of Mayra Cuevas and Marie Marquardt's new novel Does My Body Offend You? They will be in conversation (and games!) with NYT bestselling authors Kimberly Jones and Gilly Segal. This is an in-person, outdoor event to be held at the Thrasher Park Amphitheater in beautiful downtown Norcross. There's plenty of space to spread out in a COVID-safe environment and we promise plenty of "shenanigans" (as Kim likes to call them). Please read venue details are below. Book Clubs Welcome! Little Shop of Stories will be on-site to sell books. Marie, Mayra, Kim, and Gilly will sign copies following the main event. If you want to skip the line, you also can pre-order signed books when you register for the event! Take home some free swag from book publisher Penguin Random House. It's a Picnic! The book release will be held at the beautiful Thrasher Park in downtown Historic Norcross. We have plenty of parking, restrooms and a playground for kids. We will have tables and chairs for you to sit, enjoy the conversation and share a meal. Or you can bring a blanket and relax in the green space! After the main event, we will provide music and time for community. Bring a picnic basket or grab a takeout meal from one of the multiple restaurants within walking distance of the park.
