Experience Ocmulgee Mounds under the stars!
Held yearly during Macon's Cherry Blossom Festival, the Ocmulgee Lantern Tours are a family-favorite event. Grab a lantern and stroll along the luminary-lined path, from the Visitor Center to the Great Temple Mound. Join interpretive talks at iconic sites. Step back in time to learn about the Indigenous people who once called Ocmulgee home and meet characters with ties to the park's rich 17,000 year history. See Downtown Macon illuminated at night from the top of the Great Temple Mound.
We ask that you please wear a mask inside the Visitor Center and Earth Lodge. The tours will last approximately one hour.
These tours will take place rain or shine, so dress for the weather. The paths are uneven in places and not wheelchair accessible.
Gates open at 7pm, and tours run every 10 minutes. $6
