Press release from Boston Public Health Commission:
February 18, 2022
BOSTON—February 18, 2022—In light of persistent pediatric vaccination disparities, the Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) today announced it will host multiple walk-in, pediatric COVID-19 vaccination clinics for local students and families as part of its "Vacation Vaccination" during Boston Public Schools' February recess, which begins next week.
The clinics will take place during the following dates and times:
Tuesday, February 22 from 3:30-7pm in Hyde Park at the Thomas M. Menino YMCA Wednesday, February 23 from 2:30-6:30pm in Dorchester at the Lilla G. Frederick Middle School Thursday, February 24 from 3-7pm in East Boston at the BCYF Paris Street Community Center Friday, February 25 from 4:30-7:30pm in Brighton at the Charlesview Community Center These family friendly clinics are being held in partnership with community centers and other locations that offer programming for children during school breaks, making it easier for parents and guardians to vaccinate their children without making an additional trip. Vaccines are available for children ages five and older. Parents, guardians, and teens will be able to receive their first, second, and booster doses at these clinics, as well. The BPHC understands that all parents want to keep their children safe, and they may have questions about getting their child vaccinated. That is why medical staff will be on site at clinics to answer questions and provide medically accurate, fact-based information about the vaccines and more.
