CULVER CITY, CA — Health officials Wednesday reported 2,496 new COVID-19 cases across Los Angeles County along with 19 more deaths. There are 232 reported cases in Culver City and 27 reported deaths, according to Los Angeles County health officials Wednesday. Last week, there were 203 reported cases in Culver City and 26 reported deaths, according to Los Angeles County health officials. The week before that, there were 189 reported cases in Culver City. The virus is spiking statewide, with Los Angeles County seeing record numbers for new coronavirus cases. In Santa Monica, a worker at a Whole Foods Market on Montana Avenue tested positive for COVID-19. In Culver City, eight police department employees also tested positive.
