Press release from the City of Long Beach: February 18, 2022 Artists in Partnership, Inc., in collaboration with the Long Beach MLK Center, present "Harriet Tubman, Herself" on Saturday, February 26th at 2:00 pm at the MLK Center, 615 Riverside Blvd.. This entertaining and educational one-woman show based on the life and times of Harriet Tubman, is performed by award winning actress, Ms. Christine Dixon. She tells the story of Harriet's harrowing and dangerous life and how she brought hundreds of slaves - and her own family - to freedom during the Civil War.
