EAGAN, MN - The Eagan City Council Tuesday night adopted the 2021 budget. The new budget includes a property tax levy of $41,448,398, which is a 5.4 percent increase compared to 2020. 2020 Average home value in Eagan: $312,700City taxes: 1,1072021 Average home value in Eagan: $324,600 (3.8 percent increase over 2020)City taxes: 1,148 (3.7 percent increase over 2020)For the average homeowner in Eagan, the increase will be $41 a year, or less than $4 a month.Other details in the 2021 budget The Eagan City Council voted to delay six new hires in order to save $637,000 in costsEagan has a AAA bond rating from Moody's and Standard & Poor's.
