Press release from UCLA Health: Nov. 5, 2020 Join the UCLA Health infectious disease specialists who led pioneering research on the HIV virus for a discussion on how their experience is translating into the development of new tools to fight COVID-19. The 'drive-in-movie'-style community event will be Tuesday, Nov. 10 from 6 - 8 p.m. at The Grove Level 8 Parking Structure. Experts will discuss the similarities and differences between the two viruses, and outline how the UCLA Health CARE Center, established in 1981 as one of the first research and treatment centers for HIV, is pivoting its infrastructure to manage national vaccine trials and COVID-19 research. The event is free and includes dinner and validated parking, but reservations are required.
