Teenager Sexually Assaulted In Sterling On Wednesday: Police

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A teenager was sexually assaulted on Wednesday night in Sterling, according to a report from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Police said the victim was approached by a group of "high school-aged" males before one of them assaulted her. Deputies with the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office responded to Reston Hospital on Friday after the assault was reported to the Herndon Police Department. Authorities determined that the assault occurred between 7:50 p.m. and 9 p.m. near the Sterling Park Shopping Mall on Wednesday. The victim told police that she was walking in the 400 block of Enterprise Street when a group of five boys began talking to her. Police said the boys appeared to be "high school-aged." At one point, one of the suspects grabbed the victim before one of the other suspects inappropriately touched and sexually assaulted her, the sheriff's office said. The suspects then left the area. The victim described the suspects as a white male, two Hispanic males, and two Black males. Some of them were wearing Nike Air Jordan sneakers. Two of the males had on shirts with a car design, two had on blue disposable face masks, and the others were wearing baggy pants, hooded sweatshirts, and flannel shirts possibly tied around their waist. All of the suspects were about 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a medium build, police said. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage from the area.
