EAGAN, MN — An Eagan man who crashed into a local Starbucks and seriously injured two people in August of 2019 has been sentenced to serve 6o days in jail. Ihar Daniliuk, 45, pled guilty to two felony counts of criminal vehicular operation while under the influence of alcohol.

On Aug. 19, 2019, police responded to the scene where a car's front-end was inside of a Starbucks building in Eagan.

He told police he "mixed up the pedals" while driving — hitting the gas pedal instead of the brake pedal — and running into the building, the complaint states.
A preliminary breath test found that he had a BAC of .18, investigators said.
A woman told police she was sitting on the patio in front of the Starbucks when Daniliuk's car jumped a curb and drove straight towards her. She did not remember anything after that, except waking up inside the coffee shop in an immense amount of pain.
Both her and a man at the shop suffered several severe injuries from the crash. Glass was found in the woman's broken leg, and her face needed stitches. The man suffered from internal bleeding, a fractured spine, three broken ribs, a broken leg and a dislocated hip.
Daniliuk will serve a total of 60 days in prison, with 30 days in August 2021 and 30 additional days in August 2022.
