EAGAN, MN — As the weather gets nicer, kids and families are becoming eager to get out and play at their local playground. Eagan parks and playground structures currently remain open with social distancing. However, due to the new coronavirus crisis, facilities, shelters and picnic pavilions remain closed until further notice. Under Minnesota's Stay Home order, which is set it expire May 18, going to a playground is allowed. Physical, outdoor active is important to mental and physical health, and it is encouraged. But while the statewide Stay Home order doesn't close playgrounds, many cities and local authorities have made the decision to close them.
