Clackamas County Search & Rescue (CSAR) -- including ground searchers, K9 teams, and drone pilots Mountain Wave Emergency Communications American Medical Response Reach and Treat CSAR ground searchers, two K9 teams, and a drone, searched the river banks, local roads, trails, and Dodge Park. CSAR Trailing K9 Poppy, and her handler tracked approximately 2 miles down Marsh road, through Dodge Park and along an unmarked trail on the west side of the Sandy River before being relieved.
As it became dark, a SAR Coordinator who was familiar with the area, suggested searching a maze of fisherman's trails downstream along the west bank of the Sandy River with a fresh CSAR K9.
Around 7 p.m., CSAR K9 Jacqui, and her handler lead the team to Reinoeh who was cold and lying under a fallen tree. Reinoeh had walked nearly two- and one-half miles from the residence. With some warming and encouragement Reinoeh was able to walk to a team that had hiked in with a wheeled litter. She was transported to a waiting ambulance.
