Description
I recently took in two male ferrets from someone who could not keep them. The cinnamon one is about 2 or 3, his buddy(albino) is closer to 7. The older one is geriatric, thin and sleepy with weak hind legs. I frustratingly haven’t been able to get them seen by a vet yet as there haven’t been appointments for exotics available in my area.
I want to find someone who is prepared for an elderly animal to live out his final days in peace and comfort, and hopefully will have or be prepared to adopt another ferret to keep the younger boy company once his pal has left this world. I had hoped to at least be able to see the old man through his final days, but their expenses in addition to several family & home emergencies lately have made that unfortunately unrealistic. I want to find these guys an experienced, dedicated home where they will be loved and spoiled. I am asking a small rehoming fee to ensure they go to a good home that can afford their ongoing care, but would waive it for a reputable rescue. They do not come with a cage, you will need to be prepared with all supplies before getting them. I would like to do a home check if possible, and therefore will deliver them if not far away. Both are friendly, though the youngster will occasionally nibble feet(he’s gotten much better about it on a short time) and they are apparently only somewhat litter-trained. The older one is great with people but not good with cats, while the younger one loves to play with them.
