Description
To answer a hypothetical question of to lose one’s rights to vote or to lose one’s rights to bare arms. That is a double edged sword as losing either one means you lose both in the end sir. As the constitutional rights of the people is so integrated into our way of life, that losing one’s right to vote means that whom ever is in charge can strip away our other rights without having it put to a vote by the people.
Similar ordeal if the people lose their rights to bare arms. If we lose that right then we lose protection, means of providing for our family’s (hunting and foraging for food) but also means we lose our rights to other constitutional rights if we can’t defend against anyone who invaded or is a tyrant president forcing his or her will against the people.
So your hypothetical question isn’t so much hypothetical one after all. Just a question by somebody that wants to know if we the people are willing to lose all rights or preserve them against those that want to lose them. As by losing one right we in turn lose all others rights in near future.
